A lot of things have changed in graphic design and typography ever since computer was invented, well, everything has changed since. Nowadays, with softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, it’s so much easier to make graphics and draw things, adding textures to create a handmade feel. Ad Agency Arnold Worldwide recently came out with a new advertising campaign for Jack Daniel that talks about “making things the traditional ways”, i think it’s pretty amazing and wanted to share~

These above are the finalized artworks, the print category of the campaign. But just looking at the posters flat doesn’t quite do the work, so below are some videos, watching the videos is where the souls and spirits are found.

Can a chair be art? Can some plastic tubes be art? Can a broken black suitcase be art? Can rubber toy animals be art? How about putting all of them together,  can it be art?

It’s amazing how an artist sees the world, or finds inspirations, because there’s always a new way of making art, or a different execution to a same idea and make them unique.

These are created by Bernard Pras. A French artist who creates art by using all kinds of things, for some of these might need a little distance to understand what the whole picture looks like.

Enjoy!

well, these obviously are not really the official Transformers, but can you imagine how the animals would look like on Cybertron (home planet of Transformers) would’ve looked pretty similar~ (to me at least)

These metallic arts are created by Robert Jefferson Travis Pond. A steel sculptor based in Portland. He creates life-size, often larger than real life art works using deconstructed motorcycles, welding together a mass of elements, from gas tanks to small nuts and bolts. Looks like they could’ve been real animals on some robot alien planet!

Enjoy~

Men, don’t just get all handy-and-touchy on your GF’s chest…CHECK YOUR BALLS TOO!

After years of efforts putting in women’s health awareness on breast cancer, it’s pretty common and well known for women to check and examine for breast cancer every once a while, but (i think) it’s not as common for men to check their testicles(balls) for testicular cancer.

Recently, I came across this ad campaign that draws my eyes i thought i’d share here with you~

An campaign done by Y&R Peru for League Against Cancer.

Headline : Give Your Fingers A Better Use – Examine Yourself For Testicular Cancer.

Enjoy~

This one (with the magic cube) looks like it might hurt a little, with the twisting and all…… compare to the other two XD hahaha.

Check out these amazing paper sculptures by Zim&Zou, formed by Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann, a french studio that explores different fields including paper sculpture, installation, graphic design, illustration.

The delicate details, the use of colors combos, every feather, every pattern, every shape… so much passion and energy, so much effort and time spent, it’s giving these papers a new life. very amazing.
